Children will spend three weeks exploring the work of artists, illustrators and authors, inspired by the museums on-view exhibitions to tell stories, explore materials and learn art-making techniques. Children will have the opportunity to work independently, as well as collaboratively, creating small and large scale works of art. Join the Sugar Hill team of artist and classroom educators to explore the multitude of ways to approach storytelling, building on literacy competencies through visual inquiry, art-making, performance and other broad engagements with the arts across disciplines.

This joint program will be led by Sugar Hill Museum Preschool teachers and the Sugar Hill Children's Museum of Art & Storytelling Artist Educators. Each week, an additional Guest Artist will share their professional practice with children, expanding their exposure to the arts and the practice of professional artists. All camp activities will take place at Sugar Hill in fully air conditioned spaces. Children will have access to Preschool and Museum facilities including classrooms, galleries, Studio Labs and our beautiful interior courtyards.
